Description
11, 11A, and 11B on Barnby Gate is a house that has been converted into two shops and a flat. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid and late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick, with the front rendered and colourwashed, topped by a pantile roof. It features double rebated eaves and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window range of 20th-century casements. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century shopfront with a splayed central recess that contains three doors, flanked by single shop windows. A full-width fascia and cornice complete the front. Historically, it was a public house and a baker's shop.
