Description
This memorial drinking fountain, located 28 meters southeast of 39 and 41 London Road in Newark on Trent, was erected around 1903 in memory of Ethel Harrison, who died in December 1902. The fountain is constructed from ashlar stone and features a tapered square pedestal with a plinth. Above the pedestal is a tapered square shaft, with the angles decorated with foliage, culminating in a plain dome. Each side of the fountain has a round-topped panel; the east and west sides display memorial inscriptions, while the north and south sides have remnants of taps. The base is moulded in an oval shape and includes a drinking bowl on two sides.
