Description

No. 121, Balderton Gate is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a plinth, a plain coped parapet and gables, and three gable and one ridge stack. The windows are mainly glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick heads. The building is arranged in an L-shape and has two storeys and a three-window front. A smaller central window is fitted with louvred shutters. A full-width cast iron balcony, featuring a tent roof and decorative valance, is present. The central doorway has a shouldered, segment-headed doorcase enclosing a margin-glazed, four-panel door with an overlight, flanked by single windows.
