Description
47 and 49 Balderton Gate are two houses that have been converted into offices. They date from the late 17th century and early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid to late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick, featuring a rendered gable and a pantile roof. The interior may include timber framing. They are two storeys high and have a two-window range, with a segment headed Yorkshire sash window on the left and a 20th-century two-light casement window on the right. On the left, there is a plain 19th-century wooden shopfront with a cornice, while the right side has a 20th-century two-pane shop window with a sunblind. The left gable has a chimney stack with remnants of a fireplace bressummer, and to its right, there is a segment headed half-glazed door.
