Description

The well head located between numbers 6 and 7 High Road in Manthorpe is a mid-19th century structure that was restored in 1990. It is made of ashlar and features an octagonal shape with a flat coping, resting on a square base. This well head was built as a utility facility for workers on the Belton estate by the Brownlow family of Belton House.
