Description
A pair of estate cottages, now houses, was built in 1849. They were provided for workers on the Belton estate by the Brownlow family of Belton House. The cottages are constructed of brick with a renewed pantile roof. A large central brick stack rises from the roof, featuring coped triple flues, the outer ones set diagonally. A band runs across the first floor, displaying a datestone. The cottages are two storeys high and have a two-window front. The ground floor windows on the front are larger than those above. All the windows are 20th-century 2-light casements. A 20th-century lean-to porch has been added to the left-hand gable. Later 20th-century alterations have also been made.
