Description

HARLAXTON SK8832 HIGH STREET 1315-0/14/191 (East side) 24/09/79 Well head 5 metres south-west of No.33 (Formerly Listed as: HIGH STREET Edrona, three adjoining cottages to S and wellhead immediately to SW) GV II

Well head. c1830. Limestone ashlar. Square canopy with 4 square piers on plinths, supporting a stepped pyramidal stone roof topped with a square cupola with round arched openings. Round well head with flat coping. This building is one of a number of architectural ornaments introduced to the village by Gregory Gregory c1820-1840. No.33 is not included.
