Description
The well head, located 5 metres south-west of number 33 on High Street in Harlaxton, dates from around 1830 and is made of limestone ashlar. It features a square canopy supported by four square piers on plinths, which hold up a stepped pyramidal stone roof topped with a square cupola that has round arched openings. The round well head has flat coping. This structure is one of several architectural ornaments introduced to the village by Gregory Gregory between 1820 and 1840. Number 33 is not included in this listing.
