Description
The cottages in Theaker's Yard are two dwellings dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar and brick dressings. The roof is made of pantiles with a single ridge and two gable brick stacks. The cottages have flush quoins and are two stories high with five bays.
The central bay includes a three-light sliding sash window with an ashlar lintel. To the right, there is a doorway with a 20th-century glazed door and an ashlar lintel, followed by another similar three-light sliding sash window. To the left, there is a doorway with a 20th-century glazed door and a brick lintel, leading to a single three-light casement window with a brick lintel.
On the upper floor, there are three five-light casement windows, each with brick lintels, and each rising into a small gable. All openings feature segment heads.
