Description
The Lodge is a cottage, originally two cottages, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and brick, topped with a pantile roof that features a single brick ridge stack. The eaves are decorated with brick dentilation. The building is a single storey plus attic and consists of four bays.
The entrance is off-centre and includes a 20th-century glazed door, flanked on either side by single 2-light casement windows. To the left, there is an additional 2-light casement window in a partially blocked doorway. All of these openings are topped with segment-headed rubble wedge lintels. Above, there are two gabled dormers, each containing a 2-light casement window.
