Description
Hill House is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a white-washed cement render and features a hipped stone slate roof with deeply over-hanging eaves and two brick ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has four bays.
The entrance is off-centre and includes a half-glazed door with an ornate fanlight. The doorway is framed by fluted pilasters with consoles that support an open pediment. There is an ornate 19th-century iron porch with a hipped roof. To the left of the entrance, there is a single glazing bar sash window, followed by a 19th-century canted bay window with plain sashes. To the right, there is a similar canted bay window. On the upper floor, there are four glazing bar sashes.
At the right side of the house, set back, is a two-storey wing, which is behind a rubble wall that has two red brick pointed arched openings.
