Description

Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century and late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof with ashlar coped gables. The building has a single ridge and two gable brick stacks, along with flush ashlar quoins. It is designed in an L-plan and stands two storeys plus a garret.

The east front, facing the street, has an off-centre doorway that features a 19th-century panel door with a wooden pilaster surround and a plain entablature. To the left of the door is a three-light sliding sash window under a segment-headed wedge lintel, and to the right is a similar window in a chamfered surround with a hood mould. Above, to the left, is another similar window under a segment-headed wedge lintel, and to the right is a four-light ovolo mullion window in a chamfered surround with a hood mould. At the gable, there is a similar three-light mullioned window.

On the north front, there are two three-light 20th-century casement windows, and above them, there is a two-light and a three-light 20th-century casement window. The west gable features two single-light windows in chamfered surrounds with hood moulds, one of which is now blocked. The south front has a doorway to the right with a four-centred arch moulded surround and a hood mould. To the left, there is a double three-light ovolo mullion window in a chamfered surround with a hood mould. Above this, there is a similar four-light mullion window flanked by similar single-light windows, all with hood moulds.
