Description

The Old Mill House is an early 18th-century house situated on the north side of High Street, Wellingore. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a steep-pitched pantile roof, ashlar coped gables, and brick ridge and gable stacks. Dentilated brickwork runs along the eaves. The house follows a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high. The off-centre doorway features an 18th-century six-panel door with a pointed ashlar hood supported on plain brackets. To either side of the door are single two-light sliding sash windows, with a further two-light sliding sash window to the left. Above, three more two-light sliding sash windows are visible, all set under wooden lintels.
