Description
Saddlers Cottage is a cottage that was formerly a shop, dating from the late 17th century and late 18th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a steeply pitched pantile roof with ashlar coped gables. The building has a single ridge and single gable brick stacks and is a single storey plus attics with three bays.
The north-facing street front has an off-centre partially blocked doorway, which is now filled with a 2-light casement window. To the left, there is a similar 2-light casement window, both of which are set under wooden lintels. To the right, there is a pair of 18th-century bow windows with glazing bars, and between them is a 20th-century glazed door. Above, there are two small square dormers, each featuring a 2-light sliding sash window.
