Description

These are a pair of cottages located on West Street in Wellingore. They date to 1692 and were restored in 1984. The cottages are constructed of roughly-shaped limestone rubble with ashlar stone details. They have steeply-pitched pantile roofs with ashlar-coped gables and two brick chimney stacks. The cottages are single-storey with an attic, and have six bays in total. Each cottage has a central plank front door, flanked by single three-light sash windows, all set beneath wooden lintels. Above the windows are four square dormers, each containing a two-light sash window. The eastern gable wall features a plaque inscribed with "W. M. 1692".
