Description

Sunny Bank consists of three cottages built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from squared, coursed limestone with some brick, and part of the rear is rendered. The cottages feature an old tile roof with brick ridges, end stacks, and internal stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a five-window range with a four-unit plan.

On the left side, there is a 19th-century plank door with a 20th-century gabled porch. The center features a part-glazed, panelled door with a wooden lintel and a gabled hood supported by consoles. To the right, there is an 18th-century plank door with a brass knob and a wooden lintel. The left side has a 16-pane casement window, while the center left has a 19th-century twelve-pane casement. The center right has a 24-pane casement, and the far right has a large 30-pane casement. All ground floor windows are topped with flat stone arches that have keyblocks.

On the first floor, there is a range of five 19th and 20th-century casements. To the right of the main building, there is a one-storey, one-unit 19th-century brick extension with an old tile roof and a brick stack. This extension has a six-panelled door and a two-light casement window to the right. The rear of the building features further 19th-century casements and small single-light windows on the ground floor with iron glazing bars. Inside, the cottages are noted for having chamfered spine beams.
