Description
Manor Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Tredington. It is constructed of squared, coursed lias stone, with some areas banded in limestone. The dressings around the doors and windows are limestone ashlar, and the roof is thatched with a brick end stack. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with a two-window front. It follows a two-unit plan. A plank door is centrally positioned with chamfered stone jambs and a 4-centred chamfered stone lintel. To either side are 20th-century two-light cross casements, likely replacing earlier mullioned windows. Each window has a moulded hood, the one on the left being more elaborate. A 19th-century two-light casement sits within an eyebrow dormer to the left. The left facade features a worn 2-light mullioned window with a moulded hood. A small stone range extends to the rear. Although the interior was not inspected, it is likely to be of historical interest.
