Description
Wheelwright's Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone and has a rendered section on the left. The stone slate roof features brick ridges and end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and consists of a three-window range with a three-unit plan. There is a door in a 20th-century range to the left. The ground and first floors have a total of seven 20th-century two-light casements, with stone flat arches above the ground floor windows on the centre and right. A lead County firemark is located in the centre. The cottage also has two 20th-century dormers. Inside, the property features chamfered spine beams and joists. Attached to the right of the building is a length of cob wall from the 19th century, which has a tile coping and measures approximately 4 meters long and between 1.5 to 2 meters high. The wall is included for its group value.
