Description

Wheelwright’s House is an early 19th-century house located on Church Street, Barrowby. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and brick, with brick dressings and concrete tile roofs. The house features three brick gable stacks, half-round brick eaves, and a gutter supported by scroll brackets. The building is arranged in an L-shape.

The two-storey front elevation has a three-window arrangement, with a central blank bay flanked by nine-pane sash windows. The ground floor features a mid-19th century five-panel door with an overlight, flanked by single twelve-pane sashes, all set beneath shaped stone lintels. The right gable is built of brick.
