Description
The White Swan Public House is a late 18th-century building that has undergone extensive alterations in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with a brick front and features a hipped asbestos tile roof, which has a single gable and two ridge brick stacks. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a layout in an L-shape, with a total of 3 x 4 windows. The front facade displays cogged eaves and has a central blocked window flanked by two 16-pane sash windows, all of which have segmental rubbed brick heads and are painted. The mid-20th-century ground floor includes a central door with five-light casements on either side. The left side of the building has regular window arrangements with segment-arched windows, three of which have been replaced by mid-20th-century windows featuring concrete lintels. There are also two small attic windows. The interior has been refitted in the mid and late 20th century. This building is included for its group value.
