Description

Mill House is an early 19th-century house attached to a watermill. It is constructed with squared, coursed limestone to the ground floor, and brick above in a Flemish garden wall bond. The roof is covered in stone slate, with brick end stacks. The house is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The building has a two-unit plan. Centrally, there is a panelled door with some glazing at the top, set beneath a chamfered wood lintel with run-out stops. To the left of the door is a 20th-century three-light casement window in a partially blocked opening, featuring a wood lintel. To the right of the door is a two-light wood casement window also with a wood lintel. On the first floor, to the left and right, are 20th-century three-light casement windows, one of which has partially blocked an earlier opening. Similar two-light casement windows are located on the second floor, left and right. A long, round-headed window, containing two opening casements and a brick arch, runs from the top of the door to the level of the second-floor windows. A dentilled brick eaves cornice is present. The interior has not been inspected.
