No. 33 Wide Bargate is a shop built in the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with a brick coped gable on the right and a gable stack on the left.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus a garret, with a two-bay front that includes a 19th-century shop front. This shop front has a half-glazed panelled door flanked by plain pilasters, and a two-light shop window with top vents. There is an additional plain pilaster supporting a narrow fascia with a cornice. On the first floor, there are two margin light sash windows with flat splayed rubbed brick arches. In the garret gable, there is a Yorkshire sash window. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey wing. The interior has not been inspected.
