Description
This is a house located at 13 Pen Street, built in the late 18th century with some minor alterations from the 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features stucco dressings, topped with a hipped pantile roof and two wall stacks.
The exterior has three storeys and a two-bay front, along with a cellar. There is a short plinth at the base. On the right side, there is a late 19th-century half-glazed door that has a plain overlight, accessed by three steps. This door is framed by panelled reveals and a pedimented surround, which includes narrow pilasters and console brackets. To the left of the door is a margin light sash window, with a blocked cellar arch below it. On the first floor, there is a matching sash window above the door, with a narrower similar window to the right. The second floor features two smaller similar windows. All the sash windows have splayed rubbed brick flat arches with fluted stucco keystones. Some internal joinery from the same period is also present, although the interior has not been inspected.
