Description
Nos 6 to 10 on School Lane are a row of three cottages built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, although they do not form a uniform terrace. The cottages are constructed of brick and topped with Welsh slate roofs, standing two storeys high.
No. 6 features a doorway on the left, followed by a blocked door and a two-light horizontally sliding sash window to the right, all adorned with cambered brick heads. The upper windows are also two-light horizontally sliding sashes. No. 8 is slightly larger, with a doorway and another blocked door situated between three-light horizontally sliding sash windows. Similarly, No. 10 has a doorway between three-light windows and an additional blocked door to the right.
The detailing across all three cottages is consistent, showcasing horizontal sliding sashes, cambered heads on the lower openings, and a dentilled eaves cornice. Each cottage has a gable end stack.
