Description

This is an early 19th-century bobbin milepost located to the south of number 103 on Derby Road in Sandiacre. Made of cast iron, it features a narrow circular stem and a cylindrical head with a moulded top, standing approximately 3 feet high. The west side is inscribed with "Nottm/7/MILES" and the east side reads "DERBY/9/MILES". Although the stem is mostly buried, part of the manufacturer's name, "HARRISONS," remains visible.
