Description
Beech House at Sandiacre Lock is a house dating from the late 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition at the rear. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with two brick ridge stacks and a dentilled eaves band. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance has a segment-headed doorcase that includes a panelled door and a plain overlight. To the west, there is a 3-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sash window, and to the east, a fixed small pane glazing bar window, both of which are set under segment heads and have panelled shutters. On the upper floor, there are two 3-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sashes and a central 2-light sash, all under segment heads. The rear elevation features a two-storey semi-circular bow at the centre, with glazing bar sashes set under rusticated wedge lintels that have double keystones.
