Description

The Bobbin Milepost located south of The Cottage is an early 19th-century milepost made of cast iron. It features a narrow circular stem and a cylindrical head with a moulded top, standing approximately 3 feet high. The west side is inscribed with 'NOTTm/10/ MILES', while the east side bears the inscription 'DERBY/6/MILES'.
