Description

24 The Ridings is a farmhouse built in 1783, with some minor later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a shallow pitched slate roof, a brick gable stack on the east side, and a brick ridge stack. The building has three storeys and three bays. The entrance has a segment-headed doorcase with a 20th-century glazed panelled door, flanked by three-light glazing bar casements under segment heads, with a similar window to the west. On the first floor, there are three similar windows and a small 20th-century window above the door, which has a brick inscribed with the date '1783'. Above this, there are three additional, shallower glazing bar casements under segment heads.
