Description
Tulip Tree House is a house from the early 19th century that has undergone alterations and additions in the late 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, arranged in English garden wall bond, and features end ridge chimneys with plain caps. The roof is Welsh slated and hipped at the north-west end. The building has an irregular L shape, is two storeys high, and consists of three bays.
The south-east bay has a modern bay window added in the 20th century, which has four lights and transom lights with six panes. The eaves cornice is plain and coved. The central doorway is topped by a shallow flat canopy and features a rectangular overlight with four panes above a six-panel door set within a wooden plaster surround. To the north-west of the door, there are stacked glazing-bar sash windows with 8-over-8 panes, which sit beneath painted stone wedge lintels. The first floor has matching windows in the remaining bays. There is a later catslide roof at the north-west end, along with 20th-century extensions and alterations to the rear.
