Description

This is a sundial located to the south of Ockbrook School, dating from the late 18th century and re-using a 14th-century cross shaft base. It is made of stone and features a square base with chamfered corners that end in moulded stops. Above the base is an octagonal stem, which is carved with a diagonal grid pattern and topped by a moulded cornice. Please note that the dial and gnomon are missing.
