Description

This is a milepost located 90 metres west of Mount Pleasant, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a bobbin type design, standing about 3 feet high. The milepost has a narrow circular stem with a cylindrical head and a moulded top. The west side is inscribed with 'NOTTm/9/ MILES', while the east side reads 'DERBY/7/MILES'. The stem is inscribed with 'HARRISON DERBY'.
