Description
This description is for a pair of matching urns located to the east of the garden front of Risley Hall. They date from the late 18th century and are made of stone. Each urn features a moulded square plinth with small steps on each side, supporting a large vase-shaped base that is gadrooned at the bottom. Above this is a tall urn, also gadrooned at the base, adorned with floral swags around the neck and a fluted gadrooned top. Each urn is topped with a fruit bowl finial on an elongated base, and they stand approximately 12 feet high.
