Description

This is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the mid-19th century, located to the north of Townend Farm on Gorsey Lane in the parish of Kirk Ireton. The building is constructed from coursed gritstone, with some areas rendered. It features a plain tiled roof that has a brick ridge stack and gable end stacks. The north facade includes 19th-century casement windows with large flat stone lintels above them, as well as a 19th-century timber porch. On the east gable, there is a 2-light recessed chamfered mullion window with a dripmould.
