Description
Rose Bank is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features a plain gable with quoins at the west end and flat copings with kneelers at the east end. The roof is plain tiled, with brick stacks, except for a large external stone stack at the west end that has stepped shoulders and a brick top. There are remains of a low plinth on the 17th-century part of the building. The windows have irregular placements and include two and three light chamfered mullion windows, some of which have dripmoulds, along with many later casements. The 19th-century additions at the east end consist of two bays with window openings that have plain stone lintels.
