Description
Prospect House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features a plain tiled roof with gables that have kneelers, which were formerly coped. The building has brick stacks at the ridge and gable ends and stands two storeys tall.
The south elevation includes a central doorway with a stone surround, featuring a six-panelled door where the upper panels are raised and fielded. On the first floor, there are two light windows with recessed chamfered mullions and later small paned casements. To the left of the doorway, there is an 18th-century glazing bar sash window. Other windows on the building are single light with plain stone surrounds. At the rear, there are single storey pitched roof outshuts.
