Description

The Manor House is an early 18th-century house located on Main Street in Kirk Ireton. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a slate roof with brick gable end stacks. The house has two and a half storeys and a double fronted south elevation. The central doorway has a quoined surround and a flat bracketed hood, with a 20th-century half glazed door. On either side of the door are 2-light flat mullioned windows with casements and leaded lights. Above the door, there is a staircase window that spans two floors, with two similar windows above it and two smaller similar windows above those.
