Description

Green Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Town Street in South Leverton. The building is timber framed with brick nogging, and the exterior is rendered and colourwashed with brick detailing. It has a steep-pitched pantile roof, a brick plinth, dentillated eaves, and a single gable stack. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of a main range with a small rear outshut.

The west front features a recessed bay containing a plank door and a Yorkshire sash window to its left. A casement window is located to the left of the recessed bay. A Yorkshire sash window and another plank door complete the ground floor on the right. Above, there are three Yorkshire sash windows and a casement. The south gable has a 20th-century canted bay window with three casements on the left, and a plank door with a timber lintel on the right. The east side shows a small casement window and two bays of exposed timber framing.
