Description
The Methodist Chapel, built in 1847 with later 19th-century additions, is a single-storey brick structure topped with a hipped slate roof. It features a brick plinth, plain eaves, and has a single side wall with roof stacks. The main east front consists of four bays, with the central bay showcasing two round-headed glazing bar sashes and a datestone inscribed '1847' above. On either side of the central bay are recessed round-headed bays, each featuring a later 19th-century flat-roofed brick porch with chamfered plinths, a moulded frieze, and a cornice. Each porch contains three doors with overlights; the left bay has a blank plaque above, while the right bay has a plaque inscribed 'School Room'. The north and south ends of the chapel have blocked central round-headed recesses, which are flanked by single segmental-headed recesses, each containing a single round-headed glazing bar sash.
