Description
Two Centuries Barn is a barn and pigeoncote built in 1791. It is constructed of brick and has pantile roofs with dentillated eaves. The structure features four plus a single bay and is two storeys high. The barn has a blocked doorway in the south central section with an elliptical arch and a timber lintel, which contains a single stable door. Above this doorway, there is a blocked opening to the left and, to the right, two overlapping shelves and four breathers. The pigeoncote has a central door on the south side, with another door above it. Above that, there is a blocked opening with a segmental head and six tiers of shelves, one of which is corbelled. The east gable includes a single brick shelf and a segmental headed opening. The wall ties are marked with 'W 1791 K'. Both the barn and the pigeoncote have principal rafter roofs with struts from the tie beam and double tenoned purlins.
