Description

This is a circa 17th century timber-framed cottage located on Church Lane in Barford. The structure incorporates brick infill panels and stone to the north gable. It has a steeply pitched thatched roof with gabled ends, and is one storey with an attic. A late 19th-century four-panel door, the upper two sections glazed, is found at the north gable, above which is a pair of late 19th-century casement windows. On the west elevation is a gabled porch with a plain tiled roof and a plank door. There are two pairs of late 19th-century casement windows, and a small dormer window at eaves level. Two brick ridge chimney stacks are present, one projecting from the south gable. A late 19th-century brick lean-to has been added to the south gable.
