Description
No. 56 Church Street is an early 19th-century house with a pebbledash render facade. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof that is hipped at the east and gabled at the west, along with a brick modillion eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There are three steps leading up to a pair of folding doors with six panels, which are set in an elegant reeded pilastered door case topped with a flat hood supported on brackets. To the east of the door is one three-light casement window, and to the west are two three-light casement windows, all of which are early 19th-century and include glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two early 19th-century three-light casement windows with glazing bars. The house has two brick ridge chimney stacks. Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams.
