Description

No. 28 Church Street is a timber-framed cottage dating from the 17th century, featuring painted render infill panels. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has gabled ends. The wall plates have been raised by 3 feet to create a full upper storey. The cottage has two storeys and two bays. The central entrance consists of an old plank door, accompanied by a modern small square oriel bay window, both sheltered by a continuous flat hood. To the east of the door, there is a pair of casement windows, while the first floor has two pairs of casement windows. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, and there are chamfered ceiling beams.
