Pair of houses with area railings. 1839. Red brick, slate roof, wrought-iron railings. 2 storeys over high basement, each house has 2 first-floor windows and entrance left. Stone steps with moulded treads to a plain and a 3-panel door with overlight in stone surround with pilasters, entablature and cornice. Fenestration: stone sills, continuous sill band to 1st floor, painted wedge lintels; 4-pane sashes left, restored glazing bars right. 4-flue stack forward of ridge centre and right. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings: plain hand rails flank steps, rails with pointed ball finials to area.
