Description
The walls, railings, and gates surrounding Leeds Grammar School were built in 1858. They consist of gritstone walls, cast-iron railings, and ashlar piers, extending approximately 120 meters along the northern and eastern sides of the school grounds, adjacent to Moorland Road and Clarendon Road. The square-section piers feature a plinth, a chamfered shaft, and stepped pyramid capstones. The low walls have chamfered copings and cusped openwork panels. The gates, located to the right and far right, include bars, dog bars, lock rails, and cusped panels. These structures are included for their group value.
