Includes: No.90 CLARENDON ROAD. Pair of houses with area railings. c1851. Red brick, Flemish bond, stone details, slate roof, cast-iron area railings. 3 storeys over basement, each house has 3 first-floor windows and original entrance on left, access now prevented by removal of steps. Half-glazed 4-panel doors with overlight in stone surround with pilasters, entablature and pediment. Fenestration: stone sills, continuous sill bands to 1st and 2nd floors, rubbed brick lintels, plate-glass and 4-pane sashes to No.27 (left) and glazing bars to No.29. Stone moulded eaves cornice, hipped roof, centre stack. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings: moulded standards with bulbous finials, the rails have pierced spearhead finials.
