Description

Numbers 69 and 71 and the attached handrail and railings are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of amber brick with a stucco cornice and blocking course. The houses are four storeys high with a basement, and each has three bays. There are single-storey, one-bay entrance extensions on the exterior; the extension to Number 69 has been altered and rebuilt. Number 71 has a round-headed doorway with a decorative fanlight. The windows have flat, gauged-brick arches and glazing bars; the first-floor windows are long casements with cast-iron balconies and a stucco sill band. All other windows are sash windows. The interior was not inspected. The property features a cast-iron handrail and area railings, which are considered subsidiary features.
