Description
Two houses, numbers 28 and 29, were built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick with painted stone dressings, and have slate roofs. Each house has two bays and three storeys. They feature sashed canted bay windows on the ground floor with a modillioned cornice. The first-floor windows have a sill band. The first-floor windows of number 28 are sashed, while those of number 29 are glazing bar sashes. The second-floor windows of both houses are glazing bar sashes. The doorways have doorcases with pilasters with sunken panels, modillioned cornices, and panelled reveals. The doors are four-panelled with overlights; the overlight to number 29 is divided into two square panes. A timber gutter is supported by rectangular brackets. Chimneys are located in front of the ridge and between the two houses. The interior has not been inspected. The garden front walls are of brick with stone copings, and the right-hand return wall to number 28 is similar. Number 29 has an iron gate with cast-iron gate piers. The left-hand return wall of number 29, which is shared with number 30, features iron railings with cast finials.
