Description

Two houses, Numbers 30 and 31, were built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick with painted stone dressings. Each house is three storeys high and has two bays. Number 30 and 31 each feature a sashed timber canted bay window on the ground floor, to the right, with a modillioned cornice. The first-floor windows are casements with a cross pattern of glazing. The second-floor windows are glazing bar sashes. Each house has a doorcase to the left, with panelled pilasters, a modillioned cornice, and panelled reveals. The doors consist of four panels, with an overlight divided into two square panes. A timber cornice gutter runs along the top of the building. Shared chimneys are located in front of the ridge to the left and right of each house. The interior has not been inspected. The garden front wall of Number 30 is brick with a stone coping and carries iron railings with cast finials, along with an iron gate and gateposts featuring ball finials. The return wall shared with Number 29 is also brick with stone copings and similar iron railings. The front and side garden walls of Number 31 are a 20th-century rebuilding, constructed of brick with terracotta copings.
