Description
This is a row of three houses located at 15, 17, and 19 Lyddon Terrace, built in 1839. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and feature a slate roof. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, each having two windows and an entrance on the left side. A flight of stone steps with moulded treads leads up to a three-panel door that has an overlight, all set within a stone surround adorned with pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice. The windows are restored 12- and 16-pane sashes with stone sills, a sill band at the first floor, and painted wedge lintels. The basement windows have been partially blocked and the walling rendered. There are three 7-flue stacks that straddle the ridge between the houses and on the right. Originally, the basement windows were full-height, likely providing light to kitchens and servant accommodation. The interior has not been inspected. This row is part of a larger group of buildings, Nos 15-25.
