Description
This barn, located approximately 5 meters west of Old Manor Farmhouse, dates back to 1691 as indicated on the outshut. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features quoins and a stone slate roof. The barn has a U-plan layout with three bays and front outshuts at the first and third bays. The former wagon entrance in the set-back center is mostly blocked, and there is a blocked doorway in the re-entrant of the outshut to the left. An inserted doorway and window can be found in the front wall of the outshut to the right, along with a datestone inscribed "I D 1691" located to the right of the window.
Inside, there are two king post roof trusses that include V-struts and curved longitudinal braces reaching up to the ridge. The rear wagon entrance has also been blocked.
