Description
This barn, located 20 yards to the west of Manor House West, dates back to 1629. It is constructed of rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, topped with a double Roman tiled roof featuring coped raised verges. The barn has buttresses with offsets and a segmental-headed doorway at the center of the south elevation, which is framed by a double ovolo moulding. On the north elevation, there are two buttresses and a central gabled, projecting porch that contains a square-headed doorway beneath a segmental relieving arch. Above this doorway is a single loop window and a date tablet. To the left, there is a later 19th-century square door and two windows. The barn also features putlog holes and slit vents. Inside, it consists of seven bays supported by tie-and-collar beam trusses.
